The Provi search data is in. Georgia operators are shifting their buying priorities, and spring is driving it.
Every year, warmer weather reshapes what's moving behind the bar. Patios open back up, cocktail menus get refreshed, and customers start asking for lighter, more celebratory pours. This year in Georgia, the search data from Provi reflects exactly that shift, and it's sharper than usual.
Here's what Georgia operators searched for most heading into spring, and what it means for your beverage program.
Champagne and Sparkling Wine Are Surging
Champagne searches in Georgia grew 81% in March compared to February. Prosecco was right behind it, up 22%.
That's not random noise. That's operators getting serious about sparkling before spring events, Easter brunches, and patio season kick off. Customers aren't waiting until summer to celebrate, and neither should your back bar.
If your sparkling lineup is light, now is the time to build it out. Think about your coverage across price tiers:
- House pour: A reliable Prosecco or Cava that works for spritzes and mimosas
- Mid-tier: A step-up bottle for guests who want something special but aren't dropping $100
- Premium: Champagne or grower selections for celebrations and anniversaries
Spring is when sparkling moves from "special occasion" to "Tuesday afternoon." Stock accordingly.
What to do: Search "Champagne" and "Prosecco" on Provi to see what's available across all your distributors. You'll see options by price tier, distributor, and rep contact info in one search instead of checking multiple portals or waiting for answers.
RTD and Hard Seltzer Brands Are Taking Off
This is the biggest story in the data. RTD and hard seltzer brand searches aren't just growing, some are exploding in interest.
- Carbliss: +513%
- Nutrl: +106%
- Truly: +90%
- High Noon: +35%
- Sun Cruiser: +34%
High Noon and Truly are mainstream staples but Carbliss and Nutrl are garnering more interest this spring. The surge tells you outdoor drinking is picking up fast and RTDs are becoming the default choice for easy, sessionable drinking. If you're not carrying a solid RTD lineup going into April and May, you're leaving sales on the table. These are low-effort, high-margin pours that are easy for guests to request "just one more."
Cocktail Ingredient Searches Are Up Across the Board
Bitters searches grew 56%. Aperol was up 46%. St. Germain climbed 43%. Peach schnapps jumped 59%. That’s a clear signal that operators are ready for spritzes, spritz riffs, and bright, fruit-forward builds now that the weather has turned.
Aperol Spritzes. Elderflower cocktails. Peachy highballs. All seasonal builds that lean into fresh, citrusy, and floral flavors that practically scream “spring.”
If you search for these now, you’re already ahead of the curve. You’ll have menus dialed in and ingredients on hand when patios fill up, brunch traffic spikes, and guests start ordering in rounds.
Mezcal Keeps Climbing
Mezcal searches grew 28% in Georgia in March. Mezcal has been building steam for a few years, and the Georgia market is reflecting that.
This isn't a novelty moment. It's normalization. Mezcal is moving from “let’s try one smoky cocktail” to a core agave category that guests recognize, ask about, and compare by brand and style. It’s becoming a standard back‑bar lane alongside tequila, with room for a house mezcal, a premium sipping option, and a couple of SKUs you can build a section of your menu around.
What's Slowing Down
Not everything is trending up. A few categories saw meaningful search declines in Georgia this March:
- Bourbon: -15%
- Coffee Liqueur: -19%
- Amaro: -19%
- Pinot Noir: -23%
Bourbon cooling slightly in spring is expected. It's a heavier pour with a colder-weather association. Coffee liqueur and espresso martini ingredients pulling back may signal that trend is peaking in this market but could also correlate with seasonal changes.
None of these drops mean you should clear them from your back bar. They mean you probably don't need to expand inventory in those categories right now.
The Big Picture for Georgia This Spring
The pattern is clear: You're stocking for celebration, outdoor drinking, and fresh cocktail menus. Sparkling wine, RTD brands, and cocktail-forward spirits are all moving in the same direction at the same time.
Your distributors have the inventory. The question is whether you can see all of it before you build your spring order.
With Provi, you can search across every distributor in your area, see what's available, compare estimated pricing from catalog, and plan your spring menu before your rep calls. Your rep relationships stay exactly as they are. You just show up to the conversation better prepared.
