On Our Radar: July Beer Releases

D_yvKTzUEAAU9Mj

All it takes is one beer to change your summer beverage game...and we're pretty confident you're gonna find it on this list. Ever heard of a little thing called a Rosé Ale? We hadn't. Until now. And that's just a tiny taste of what you're about to discover. We've got something for that guy who stumbles in your bar 2 and a half minutes before close. We've got something for that older couple who usually comes in at 4 PM on Wednesdays. And we've even got something for that serious-looking business man who always looks ready to get absolutely smashed. It's new beer release time, baby!

We like dark beers and light beers. We even like crushable beers.
But we *especially* like new beers.
Here's to another Friday full of great new releases!

    magic hat "X"

    magichatx-1

american pale ale | 5.6% ABV

When the X Ambassadors dropped in for a beer before one of their shows, we were stoked. They’re international rock stars! Yet they’re grounded, humble dudes who support the local communities that serve them. So, while kicking it over a cold one we wondered if there was a way to capture this spirit together in a beer. There was, and that beer is Magic Hat X, an American Pale Ale that exemplifies the X Ambassadors’ music and spirit.

Magic Hat X features lemon and melon hop notes that dominate over a light resinous character and smooth finish. It’s crushable anywhere, whether you’ve got floor seats at a show, a blanket laid out at a festival or just kicking your feet up while spinning vinyl. Cheers to you and stay humble.

3 daughters Bread High Brown Ale

    new-3db

    brown ale

The U.S. throws away between 30 and 40% of it’s food supply and half of all produce goes to waste. USFSP Brewing Arts program students are making a difference. UMCM Suncoast has donated 22 pounds of leftover bread per barrel that the students of the Brewing Arts Program have used to brew “Bread High”. Our very own Sara Freeman assisted with this brew and is also a graduate of the Brewing Arts Program, and joined our family here are 3 Daughters Brewing shortly after.

    StrawberryWeb

    barleywine ale w/ strawberries | 13% ABV

Yes, Strawberry Jacket. A slightly drier blend of bourbon and rye whiskey barrel English Barleywines aged eighteen months provides a base for the delicate nuances of fresh strawberry to shine while retaining the same balance we expect of our beloved Straight Jacket. Reminiscent a fresh, juicy strawberry atop a crème brûlée, this sipper can accompany dessert or stand on its own. Enjoy now or store cold.

    b1c3ddd54bf5570f7a61c0489558d7d5_640x640

    Barleywine ale w/ honey | 14.6% ABV

We’re not the only ones who’ve been busy since last Deep Wood season; Revolution’s only permanent residents (residing in a hive on the brewery’s roof) have been pollinating local flora and producing honey for the past year. Not to be outdone, our brewers selected a crop of eighteen-month-old bourbon and rye whiskey barrel-aged English Barleywines to imbue with the bees’ golden elixir. Worth the welts. Enjoy now or store cold.
